Gobi Manchurian

Hello my dear people... 

Here I am with a very famous and sought-after recipe, delicious and mouthwatering Gobi Manchurian. 

It is a very easy recipe which can be prepared within a few minutes, yet, the taste remains etched in your heart. 

So, let's get into the process...



Ingredients:

# Cauliflower florets - 4 cups
# Maida / All purpose flour - 10 tbsp
# Semolina / Rava - 1 tbsp
# Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 inch piece
# Garlic pods (finely chopped)- 5 nos
# Garam masala powder - 2 tsp
# Corn flour - 1 tbsp
# Chilli powder - 2 tbsp
# Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
# Onion (finely chopped) - 1 nos
# Capsicum (finely sliced) - 1 nos
# Tomato sauce - 3 tbsp
# Chilli sauce - 3 tbsp
# Soya sauce - 1/2 tbsp
# Curry leaves - as required
# Coriander leaves (finely chopped) - as required
# Salt - as required
# Oil - for frying

Preparation:

# Clean and cut the cauliflower florets into smaller pieces and soak it in warm water(with salt) for about 20 minutes. Once done, drain the excess water and keep the florets aside.


# For the batter, mix the all purpose flour along with semolina, 1 tsp of garam masala powder, 1 tbsp of chilli powder, 2 tbsp of coriander powder, salt and water. 

# Marinate the soaked cauliflowers in the batter for about 15 minutes. 

# Heat oil in a pan, and fry the the cauliflower florets until golden brown and keep it aside.

# For making the sauce, heat oil in a pan and add in the onions, ginger and garlic and saute until the onions turn golden brown and the raw smell fades away. 

# Add the left over spice powders along with a little salt and saute for a minute or two. Add in the sauces and a little water. If you want the gravy a little thicker, you can add 1/2 tbsp of corn flour along with water. 

# Add the fried cauliflower florets and mix well. 

Garnish with chopped coriander and serve warm along with naan or parathas.
