American Chicken Gravy

Hope you are doing fine...

Am back with another yummylicious recipe, which is the American Chicken Gravy.

It takes a long time to prepare, yet, serves as a unique dish at any gathering. 

So, what are we waiting for? Let's see how you make it..


Ingredients:

# Chicken - 1 kg
# Onions (finely chopped) - 2 nos
# Tomatoes - 1 nos
# Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tbsp
# Mint powder (optional) - 1/2 tsp
# Turmeric powder - 3 tbsp
# Chilli powder - 3 tbsp
# Cashew nuts - 150 grams
# Coriander powder - 3 tbsp
# Garam masala powder - 2 tbsp
# Salt - as required
# Butter - 2 tbsp
# Milk - 3/4 cup
# Olive oil - 1/2 tsp 
# Pepper powder - 2 tsp
# Curd - 1 cup

Preparation:

# Soak the cashews in milk overnight and grind it into a fine paste along with the milk. 

# Boil the tomato and grind it into a fine paste.

# Clean the chicken and cut it into bite size pieces. 

# Mix curd along with salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, and one tablespoon of garam masala powder, and marinate the chicken pieces for about 5 hours. 

# After marination, heat butter in a thick pan and fry onions till they turn translucent. 

# Add the ginger-garlic paste and mint powder and saute for a while, until the raw smell fades away. 

# Add the tomato paste and cook until the oil separates. 

# Now, add the marinated chicken and the cashew paste and saute for a minute or two. 

# Add water and cook until the chicken is tender. 

# Garnish with coriander leaves and serve warm with parathas or rice.
