Ingredients:
# Bread - 4 slices
# Basmathi rice - 1 cup
# Onions (finely chopped) - 1 cup
# Spring onions (finely chopped) - 1/2 cup
# Beans (finely chopped) - 1/2 cup
# Diced mixed vegetables (optional) - 1 cup
# Green chillis - 5 nos
# Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
# Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
# Coriander leaves (finely chopped) - as required
# Salt - as required
# Ghee (or any oil) - as required
Preparation:
# Soak the rice in water for about 20 minutes and then drain it.
# In a pan, add some ghee and fry the rice for about 5 minutes and keep it aside.
# Cut the bread slices into smaller pieces and fry it in ghee until golden brown, and keep it aside.
# Grind half a cup of onions along with green chillis, garam masala powder, salt and ginger garlic paste.
# In a pressure cooker, heat the ghee and fry the onions until golden brown and add the paste and saute till the raw smell fades away.
# Add the vegetables and spring onions and saute till they become half-cooked. Add a little water if necessary.
# Add sufficient amount of water to cook the rice and vegetables and bring it to boil.
# When the water boils, add the rice, mix well and then, cover it, cook it on medium flame.
# When the rice is completely cooked, add the bread pieces, and mix well and cover it again with the lid.
# Garnish with coriander leaves and serve warm.
