INGREDIENTS:
For the base:
v All purpose flour – 2 cups
v Sugar – ½ tsp
v Salt – ½ tsp
v Active dry yeast – 1 ½ tsp
v Olive oil – 2 tsp
v Egg – 1 (beaten well)
v Luke warm water – As required
For the topping:
v Pizza sauce(available in stores) – as required
v Onion –1 (thinly sliced)
v Tomato – 1 (thinly sliced)
v Capsicum (any colour) – 1 (thinly sliced)
v Mozzarella cheese – as required
METHOD:.
v To make the base, first mix yeast and sugar in lukewarm
water and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
v Mix the flour, salt and olive oil and stir for a minute.
v Add the yeast mixture and beaten egg to it and stir it to
make a stiff dough.
v Place the dough in a floured bowl and cover it with a
thin aluminium foil, coated with olive oil.
v Set the dough aside until it rises and then roll it into
as many circular bases as possible.
v Spread the pizza sauce on the base and place it in an oven
which is preheated to 450 degrees.
v Remove the base from the oven after 10 minutes.
v Now, add the toppings (vegetables) and top with grated mozzarella
cheese.
v Now bake it in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. After baking, cut it into slices and serve.
Tasty,
healthy, pizza is ready... You can also vary the toppings with mushroom or
chicken or any other topping of your choice... you can even vary the shape of your pizza into interesting shapes...
